Helping people become firmly rooted and established in a healthy connection to self and others

Sarah Sims, Master Level Intern
Experiences of trauma, loss, depression, anxiety and grief can be overwhelming and disorienting. It can be difficult to process, understand, and find hope in the midst of these kinds of pain. However, I firmly believe that hope, healing, growth, and joy are possible – even from the point of our deepest pain and loss. You are valuable. You are unique. You are not defined by the struggles or hardships you are walking through. You are worthy of support. It takes great courage to be willing to authentically face our struggles, and this kind of courage is the first step towards healing and growth. I would consider it an honor to be a witness to your story and to partner with you in your process of walking towards healing.

I am available to work with a variety of issues, some of my specific passions include supporting clients walking through grief and loss, working with clients to process trauma or a history of abuse, helping clients find hope and peace in struggles with depression or anxiety, and working with clients as they navigate difficult seasons of life.
I use an integrative approach to counseling, focusing on relational and experiential therapeutic modalities tailored to individual clients’ needs. I work to build an authentic relationship with clients first, creating an environment of safety and trust. I collaborate with my clients with compassion and empathy as they seek to process, heal, and live more fully in alignment with their values and goals.
